Electric Storm
Darmstadt, 2006

This project is based on the sensory perception of the energy discharge of a thunderstorm. Actual measurements of an intense storm in Darmstadt, Germany are translated into the rapidly blinking code of an LED light display.

Lightning is an immense discharge of energy that reminds us of our fragile existence and is felt strongly with the body.

Some scientists estimate that storms will become even more extreme in the future and I am trying to translate this threat in an artistic way.
