Woven Waters
Darmstadt, 2000

This installation consists of two interwoven transparent plastic tubes. The tubes are filled with two fluorescent liquids (red and green) and are being held in constant movement with the help of an electronic pump. The air bubbles in the tube enable the conscious perception of the flowing movement of the fluorescent liquids. The visitors, that perceive the installation from underneath, sink into a form of meditative reflection when viewing the interwoven liquids.

Human and plant body liquids are being brought into association and herewith also the circulation of nature, that is being held in constant movement.

A contrast is created between the bubbles, which are contained in the tube and which are moving slowly from one side to the other and the fluorescent soap bubbles which are being carried into the heights with the free movement of air circulations.
